Barry Tidwell, CEO of Tidwell DeWitt, Earned Best in Business ‘Rising Star’ Award
BIRMINGHAM, AL – Barry Tidwell achieves an accolade for his professional success. Barry was honored as the 2006 Best in Business ‘Rising Star’ by the Birmingham Business Journal. The ‘Rising Star’ award recognizes the individual who has most significantly impacted the local business community during the last five years. Applicants were evaluated in the following categories: Quality of work, Client Service, Employees, the Workplace, Financial Performance, Effective Marketing, and Community Involvement.

Barry co-founded Tidwell DeWitt in 1998, which is now the 6th Fastest Growing Accounting firm in the country, as stated by Inside Public Accounting. He attributes this success to the work ethic of the entire firm— “We work to understand and define our clients’ business objectives and how those relate to their personal objectives. The winner will be announced on June 15, 2006 at the tenth annual Best in Business Awards banquet. Tidwell DeWitt falls in the 100-400 employee category, more than doubling our size in the last year.

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Tidwell DeWitt was recognized by the Birmingham Chamber on May 11, 2006 during Birmingham's Small Business Week. Small Business Week is an annual celebration, which spotlights the men and women who, through their independent entrepreneurial spirit, play a vital role in building our community and its economy.

Drew Sipos Joins Tidwell DeWitt as Director of Business Development
BIRMINGHAM, AL – Drew Sipos joined Tidwell DeWitt, Business Advisors and Certified Public Accountants, as the Director of Business Development on May 17, 2006. He will be based in the Midtown Atlanta office and will be responsible for overseeing the sales process and business development endeavors within the firm. Drew began his career at IBM and has had held such positions as an account manager and sales manager and Vice President. Most recently, Drew was the Business Development Account Executive at Parson Consulting, where he managed global account strategies and consulting specializing in Strategic Finance, Accounting and Finance Operations, Government & Risk Management and Sarbanes Oxley and M&A transactions. Drew is a graduate of California Lutheran University.
