PITTSBURGH, PA – Schneider Downs, a Pittsburgh and Columbus-based public accounting and business advisory firm, announced the promotion of Mary D. Richter, CPA to shareholder, effective July 1, 2006.

Mary has been providing tax services to clients for more than 17 years and joined Schneider Downs in 2002. She has worked in both public accounting and private industry and has a diverse tax background with experience in federal, state and international tax and business issues. Mary has provided focused client service to multinational manufacturing and service entities in all phases of the business cycle, from start-up to exit strategy. She has worked with clients throughout the world, including North and South America, Western Europe, and Asia Pacific.

A graduate of Duquesne University with a degree in Accounting, Mary is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, she is an executive committee member of the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board and a National Multiple Sclerosis Society volunteer.
