Carl BAck of Smart and Associates, LLP Elected to Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Council

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Carl W. Back Jr., CPA, was elected to a two-year term on the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (PICPA) Council. His term on the governing body of the PICPA will expire in 2008.

Back is a partner of state and local tax services with Smart and Associates LLP in Devon, Pa. In addition to being former chair of the PICPA’s State Taxation and Multi-State Tax Conference committees, he is a member of the finance committee of the Hillview Association.

Back earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and an accounting certificate from Elizabethtown College. He resides in Valley Township, Pa.
