Reznick Group Appoints Constantine Kazakos to Chief Information Officer Post

BETHESDA, MD (May 2, 2005) – Reznick Group, ranked among the 20 largest public accounting firms in the nation to Public Accounting Report (2004), has appointed Constantine Kazakos as its Chief Information Officer. Kazakos will lead the firm’s efforts in strategically leveraging technology resources that will improve its audit processes; allow staff to work more efficiently; and support virtual collaboration with clients. He will be based in the firm’s headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland and officially joined the firm on April 28, 2005.

Kazakos’ experience and background working with major global corporations is also critical in helping the firm reach its strategic growth goals. Reznick Group announced its strategic plan to become a top 10 firm, with 10 offices, in 10 years in October 2004.

“Acquiring an experienced executive of Constantine’s caliber makes us proactive in addressing the growing needs of the firm’s expansion, including technologies that will support our professionals’ needs while also incorporating tools and resources that will enhance our client relationships,” said Managing Principal Kenneth E. Baggett.

Kazakos brings more than 20 years applying process management to major corporations internally and as part of the industry groups that have moved technological thinking forward. His background includes serving in senior corporate positions with large multinational organizations including IBM, Xerox, and Ernst & Young. In the government sector he led significant productivity initiatives for the City of New York in support of former Mayor Giuliani’s plan to reengineer that city’s government.

As Chief Information Officer, Kazakos will lead the strategic planning, implementation and management of Reznick Group’s technology, integrated production and accounting systems; as well as the introduction of improved technologies that will support the firm’s strategic growth goals and objectives.

“My career has focused on improving business processes and management by developing and implementing solutions that result in real savings and efficiency,” said Kazakos. “I’m looking forward to continuing that with Reznick Group in support of its major expansion goals and the future success of this dynamic organization.”

Kazakos earned an M.A. in Economics from the Athens School of Economics & Business Administration; and a B.A. in Analysis & Programming from the Athens College of E.D.P. Sciences. He completed the Executive Program in Corporate Strategy at the Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago; and holds a Certificate of Process Mastery from Michael Hammer and Company. He has extensive international experience having worked in numerous countries on every continent; and is fluent is French and Greek and conversant in Spanish.
