McKonly & Asbury to Open New
Lancaster Office

CAMP HILL, PA – McKonly & Asbury, LLP, a regional
accounting and consulting firm, announces plans for
expansion in Lancaster on August 1st of 2005. The firm
will open new office space in the Greenfield Corporate
Center at 1857 William Penn Way (pictured below). This
marks a significant expansion over the firm's current
Lancaster office location, which is a satellite work
area for staff serving clients in Lancaster County.
"Lancaster County has been a
key geographic location for our firm since our founding
over thirty years ago. We view the Lancaster community
as a key growth area for our firm in the near and long
term future," said Terry Harris, Managing Partner.
"More than 25% of our client work is conducted
in Lancaster already, representing many of the firm's
largest clients in virtually all of the major industries
we serve. In order to continue to serve our clients
well, we feel the time is right for a fully-staffed
office in the Lancaster market."
Far from being a newcomer to the Lancaster
marketplace, McKonly & Asbury LLP provides services
to some of the areas most recognizable businesses, nonprofits,
and governmental entities. From the downtown Lancaster
city to the farmland of Southern Lancaster County, McKonly
& Asbury LLP has long been an advisor of choice
to Lancaster-based organizations. The firm provides
Sarbanes-Oxley & other consulting services, audit
& accounting services, and tax planning and consulting
services to many of Lancaster's well-known organizations.
Some Lancaster County clients of the firm include Donegal

College Family Business Center, McKonly & Asbury

The expansion in the Lancaster marketplace
also serves as a return to the roots of the firm. Founding
Partners, Henry McKonly (who was raised in Columbia)
and Clarence Asbury (who grew up on a farm in Southern
Lancaster County) are both natives of Lancaster County.

The firm's Lancaster office will initially
be staffed by current employees of the firm who reside
in Lancaster County. It will also be a focal point for
the firm's continuing growth and recruitment of new
staff. In the past five years, the firm has doubled
in size from 35 employees to more than 70. Kurt Trimarchi,
Director of Tax Services, himself a resident of Lititz,
will be the firm's Partner-in-Charge of the Lancaster
Office. "We're very excited to be opening this
new office. We view ourselves as part of the Lancaster
community, and feel that this office further illustrates
our commitment to Lancaster-based organizations. This
new presence will strengthen our local presence across
the entire Central Pennsylvania region."
McKonly & Asbury's success to
date has been a team effort, one which will continue
in the new multi-office environment. The firm will integrate
the two offices with a substantial technological upgrade
that will keep McKonly & Asbury on the leading edge
of business technology. A new voice-over-Internet-Protocol
(VOIP) system will allow team members in both firms
to communicate internally as if they were still in the
same building. The firm's Director of First Impressions,
Michele Breon, will continue to answer and direct in-coming
contact for both offices. The technology expansion is
being conducted by the firm's internal IT group with
assistance from Intellimark.
"We're expanding to two physical
office locations, but we will continue to function as
one team, serving all of our clients. Technology can
help us offer the same collaborative approach that our
clients have come to expect from our firm. We are one
firm, now with two staffed offices. The same team, the
same high-standard of service, the same quality of deliverables
will be in place at both staffed locations," said
Harris. "What we gain is a closer locality to many
of our key clients, a better connection to the Lancaster
community, and the ability to recruit and retain key
members who want to serve their clients closer to home.

As with its current Lancaster location
and its Camp Hill headquarters, McKonly & Asbury
will share its Greenfield Corporate Center office with
Anchor Financial Group. Anchor and M&A formed a
partnership over four years ago to provide financial
advisory services. McKonly & Asbury LLP owns a sizeable
stake in Anchor Financial Group, a provider of insurance
and investment advisory services to individuals and
businesses. Don Yost, President of Anchor Financial
Group said, "Our new Lancaster location will not
only improve Anchor's ability to serve our many Lancaster
clients, but further showcase our integrated approach
to providing financial services to clients in partnership
with McKonly & Asbury." Like M&A, Anchor
Financial Group also provides a significant portion
of its service to clients in Lancaster. For many years,
Anchor provided retirement planning education to companies,
such as Case New Holland and High Industries, Inc.,
and counts many employees and retirees of these companies
as clients.
Opening of the new office is slated
for August 1st, following build-out and technological
upgrades to the second floor office suite at 1857 William

of the office building, located next to the headquarters
of High Industries, include a law firm and an engineering
firm. McKonly & Asbury plans a fall open-house to
showcase its new location to clients, friends of the
