BETHESDA, MD (November 5, 2004) — Firm Managing Principal Kenneth E. Baggett today announced that Reznick Group has named seven new principals. Reznick Group is a national accounting, tax and business advisory firm with more than 700 employees serving clients nationwide.

These individuals exemplify the meaning of our firm’s values and will help to continue to make Reznick Group a firm on the move,” said Firm Managing Principal Kenneth E. Baggett.

New principals include:

Nelson Gomez, CPA is an audit principal in Reznick Group’s real estate practice. A member of the firm’s Bethesda, Maryland office since 1994, Gomez holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland.

Allan Kitchen, CPA is an audit principal serving the firm’s affordable housing and local commercial business industry clients. A member of the firm’s national audit and accounting committee, Kitchen is based in the Charlotte, North Carolina office. Kitchen joined Reznick Group in 1997 and is a graduate of the College of William and Mary.

Wendy Langlais, CPA joined Reznick Group in 2001 and has 10 years of public accounting experience. Focused on providing tax consulting services to the real estate industry, Langlais is based in the firm’s Atlanta, Georgia office and is a graduate of American University.

Russell Phillips, CPA is an audit principal in the firm’s Bethesda, Maryland office and serves the real estate industry. Phillips joined the firm in 1994 and is a graduate of Virginia Tech University.

Lorraine Reale, CPA is a principal based in the firm’s Bethesda, Maryland office and serves commercial, closely-held and nonprofit clients. She has over 11 years of experience providing tax advisory services and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University.

Tara Sherbert, CPA joined Reznick Group in 1994. A principal in the Charlotte, North Carolina office, Sherbert currently leads the Charlotte real estate consulting group. Focused on serving developers and investors with a specific focus on the tax credit arena, Sherbert holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Clarion University.

Karen Smith, CPA is an audit principal in the firm’s affordable housing practice. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Akron and joined Reznick Group in 1991. Based in the firm’s Bethesda, Maryland office, Smith’s experience includes working with nonprofit developers, syndicators, property managers and mortgage lenders.
